National Forum Foundation (NFF) Biography

Position:
Pro to the question "Should the Words “under God” Be in the US Pledge of Allegiance?"
Reasoning:

The NFF’s goal is to “restore the concept of One Nation under God as our most fundamental national principle. The ONE NATION UNDER GOD program organizes support for abolishing the false premise that there is a constitutionally erected ‘wall of separation between church and state.’ The aim is to re-establish God’s Ten Commandments as the basis of our own law, to return the freedom to pray in schools, etc.”

Description:

“In 1983, Rear Admiral (USN, Ret.) and U.S. Senator from Alabama, Jeremiah A. Denton, founded the National Forum Foundation (NFF), (renamed in January 2004, the Admiral Jeremiah Denton Foundation or AJDF) which was dedicated to issues regarding national security, the concept of One Nation under God, the institution of the family, welfare reform, and peacekeeping and humanitarian affairs.

The NFF, a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization, has sponsored hundreds of conferences, press briefings and congressional seminars on a wide variety of domestic and international public policy issues.”

Mission:

“The United States of America in its founding documents established a revolutionary set of principles. These principles were so sound that the great Prime Minister of England, William Gladstone, proclaimed the form of government produced by these principles as: “The best form of government ever conceived by the minds of men”. More than two hundred years of history have proved him correct.

The Admiral Jeremiah Denton Foundation’s primary concern is the on-going modern, progressive abandonment of those principles by the U.S.”
