Joe Biden, JD Biography

Title:
US Vice President
Position:
Pro to the question "Should the Words “under God” Be in the US Pledge of Allegiance?"
Reasoning:

“‘In God we Trust’ is written on our money. ‘Endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness’ is written in the Declaration of Independence.

The Establishment Clause of the First Amendment was written to prevent our government from choosing one religion over another. It was not written to prohibit the government’s acknowledgment of God. In my opinion, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals’ decision is wrong.”
